Syed Iftikhar Hussain Rizvi was was born in a family famous in Awadh for renowned scholars, poets and Sufis. He was the maternal grandson of 'Allama Maulvi Fazl-e-Haq Khairabadi', a poet, philosopher,and a freedom fighter who played an important role in the first Independence Movement of India in 1857.His ancestos as well next generationlike Jaan Nisar Akhta,,Javed Akhtar,Farhan and Zoya Akhatr all poetic and cultural fields. .He is also famous for the judgment in the case of Nuthmul, whom he set free in spite of the Maharaja of Gwalior's instructions to the contrary while serving as District Judge of Gwalior.His poetry is characterized by its classical elegance, scholarly depth, and adherence to traditional poetic norms. Muztari was known for his mastery of the ghazal form and his ability to express complex emotions with linguistic precision..His ghazals explore traditional themes of love, separation, and mysticism with remarkable sophistication.. Muztar Khairabadi's most famous poems, "Na Kisi Ki Aankh Ka Noor Hoon" is often incorrectly attributed to 'Bahadur Shah Zafar', because of the deep sorrow and dejection expressed in it.
