Hafeez Jalandhari was a distinguished Pakistani poet best known for writing the lyrics of Pakistan's national anthem "Qaumi Tarana." Born in Jalandhar, British India, Hafeez was a versatile poet who wrote in multiple genres including nazms, ghazals, and particularly patriotic poetry. His poetry is characterized by its clarity, emotional appeal, and strong nationalist sentiment. Hafeez was deeply influenced by Allama Iqbal and his work reflects similar themes of Muslim identity, self-respect, and national pride.
