Aurangzeb Khan, known by his pen name Qateel Shifai, was a legendary Pakistani poet and lyricist who made immense contributions to both Urdu poetry and Pakistani cinema. Born in Haripur, Qateel's poetry is characterized by its lyrical beauty, romantic intensity, and musical quality. He was one of the most successful film lyricists in Pakistan, writing songs for over 250 films and creating some of the most memorable music in Pakistani cinema history. His film songs combined poetic excellence with popular appeal, making high-quality Urdu poetry accessible to the masses.
